Two men have been arrested for attempted blackmail of a member of the British royal family who was threatened with exposure of a videotape allegedly showing a sex act, according to Scotland Yard officials. Authorities would not reveal the identity of the target, who was told to pay $100,000 to keep the video secret. The men also claimed to have evidence that their target provided cocaine to an aide. • The member of the royal family informed Scotland Yard of the plot in August and officers set up a sting to trap the men, reports the Times of London. The two were arrested as they showed a tape to an undercover detective they believed was a member of the royal staff. The judge has issued a gag order in the case.
